When water becomes stagnant, it is unpleasant to be around and attracts disease. This is why we, as South Africans, must never stop moving to ensure that we are a body of people who provide refreshment and give life.
"Move, South Africa was founded on the idea that even in the most dry places moving water brings life. The founder, Shaun Nel, was struck by this while spending time on the Orange River and challenged by the prospect of South Africa becoming a country of people who never stop moving so that they can keep spreading life to those around them.
Active citizenship has become a term commonly used in different circles all over South Africa. It is used so often that it seems to sometimes lose its gravity and the emphasis on the real need we have for it.
One of the areas that is crying out for the citizens to help is education. We have a large amount of students that are excluded from education financially. Over and above these students there are many that receive funding or loans and don't get over the finish line.
Move, South Africa is partnering with two students for 2018 with the aim of providing holistic support. This comes in the form of tuition but also very importantly the other external factors such as transport, food, accommodation and mentorship. If we can do our best as a nation to support the young people following after us the future will be much brighter."
